Zettels are pretty ineffective

i have quite a few of these zettels in my garden, and yet i’ve never used any of them. i do, however, use my wiki notes from time to time

why?

they are so atomic that they aren’t of any use anymore. without me organizing them into groups, i fail to use them at all. it appears to me that there are two options — i can keep them hyper-atomic, and link them in compendia and topics, or i can transition to compendia as my base layer

frankly, it feels like it’d take more work to make notes that atomic
