The brain is a graph
The brain can be represented by a network of nodes (brain regions) connected by edges (weights estimated by the functional connectivity between regions). Using this, we can quantify integration and segregation dynamics in the brain.
Furthermore, one can estimate the hierarchical organization of the brain, and hierarchical levels of individual regions, with trophic coherence.
