The route of administration of a drug can drastically change its pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties. In extreme cases, this can result in drastically different phenomenological or subjective effects; in the case of 3-MMC for example, users report a stronger “dopaminergic” rush resulting from insufflation in comparison to a stronger “serotonergic” rush resulting from oral administration — this can be likened to the difference between cocaine and MDMA (“ecstasy”).
